The John Smiths Grand National
Postal strikes and severe flooding in parts of the UK look likely to disrupt the delivery of the John Smith's Grand National brochure ahead of tickets and hospitality packages going on sale at 9am on Wednesday 1st August.
Aintree Racecourse is urging racegoers not to wait until their postal brochure arrives before viewing the packages available for the John Smith's Grand National meeting.
From today (Tuesday 24th July), anyone wishing to attend can visit The Jockey Club's website and view a copy of the John Smiths Grand National brochure online.
Tickets for John Smiths Grand National
Each year, the demand for tickets to attend the showcase event significantly increases, with many racegoers eager to reserve tickets for their favourite enclosure on the course.
For 2008, the racecourse is predicting sales to be equally as strong and is encouraging racegoers to purchase their preferred option early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets and hospitality packages will be available to purchase from 9am Wednesday 1st August.
Customers can purchase from the racecourse in person or by telephone on 0151 522 2929 (tickets) or 0151 522 2911 (hospitality).
Select tickets will also available to purchase from Aintree's official website.
Aintree's Redevelopment
In 2007, customers to Aintree witnessed many new facilities and new packages following the completion of Aintree's redevelopment project in the shape of the Earl of Derby and Lord Sefton stands, in addition a new Aintree Pavilion for Tattersalls customers.
For this year, the hottest ticket for the John Smith's Grand National meeting will ultimately be Aintree's newest VIP experience - the Platinum County Lounge, an upgraded experience in the County Stand seat enclosure.
Julian Thick, Managing Director, Aintree Racecourse, said;
'We're pleased to be able to offer customers an opportunity to view our brochure online, giving customers an insight into the many choices available for the Grand National meeting ahead of going on sale.
It is unfortunate that postal strikes may cause delays in some customers receiving a personal copy of our sales brochure; however, we hope that by making the brochure available to view online, our customers will be able to make their purchase ahead of Wednesday 1st August.
The next Grand National promises to be a spectacular three days of racing and socialising and we would urge customers to book early to avoid disappointment'.
